We aim to ensure that our learning environments are of the highest possible quality for our students, staff and for community members who use our facilities. Our students are really proud of their school and show great respect for it.

Our sports hall is the envy of many schools and provides a superb environment for young people taking part in physical activity, inspired by an outstanding team of teachers. We are also fortunate to have an all-weather, floodlit, FA and FIFA-approved 3G pitch, tennis and netball courts and a large playing field surrounded by mature trees.  More recently, we have extensively refurbished our swimming pool, which now provides an extremely high standard facility for our students and the community to use.

Our main school building is very well-designed and maintained, including a modern dining facility where students can enjoy leisurely lunches together with their friends.  Our main building is also home to our two purpose-built food and nutrition rooms, with high-specification equipment, designed to feel like professional kitchens.

  

The school hall is a superb space for performances, celebrations and assemblies.

Our two-storey classroom block, the Wintle Building, includes our English and mathematics departments and a state-of-the-art science laboratory. This building also houses our library, where students have access to a huge range of books and resources, providing a superb base for research, quiet reading or doing homework.

  

A further classroom block, The Millennium Building, houses another science lab, an ICT suite and further classrooms.

In the summer of 2025, construction was completed on the Humphrey Repton building.  This has created fantastic classrooms for our humanities subjects, as well as further meeting room space.

The allotment area and construction building on our school grounds also provide wonderful learning environments for our students.

We have invested heavily in ICT, including wireless connectivity throughout the whole site. Students have the use of 3 specially equipped ICT suites and a large number of laptops which can be used anywhere in the school.

  

In art and graphic design, we have invested in high-specification equipment so that students studying these subjects can use a range of design software. This compliments the traditional art rooms that form one of the creative hubs of the school.

Visitors to the site often comment on how clean and well-maintained the school is.  Our site team is dedicated to providing a clean working environment and go to great lengths to make it as good as it can be for our students.
